Ohio police are investigating after three truck drivers reported that they were robbed at gunpoint in a two day span in Ashtabula County this week.
Armed Robberies Took Place At Truck Stops, McDonalds
The first robbery attempt took place on August 23 at the McDonalds in Austinburg Township. It is unclear if the suspects were actually able to steal anything from the truck driver in this robbery attempt.
The second robbery happened the next day at the Pilot truck stop in Austinburg Township. The truck driver reported that the suspects stole $180 in Canadian currency.
The third armed robbery happened just thirty minutes after the second at a TA truck stop in Kingsville. The suspects stole around $600 from a trucker during this incident.
Suspects Are Still At Large
The gun that the suspects used was recovered and it was found to be stolen from Millcreek Township in Pennsylvania.
The truck drivers described the suspects as two black males in their early 20’s. One was described as having a slight build and no facial hair while the other had facial hair. They are believed to be driving a dark colored late-model Pontiac.
No arrests have been made.
