Shots Fired After Driver Refused To Sell Pack Of Cigarettes

The co-driver says that he was resting in the sleeper area of the truck when he heard the driver speaking to someone outside the truck. The victim later told authorities that two black males asked him for a cigarette. He gave the pair a cigarette, but then he said that they then asked to buy the whole pack from him, which he refused.

It was then that they began shooting, according to the injured driver.

The co-driver said that he heard between seven and ten gunshots.

The driver fell to the floor of the truck and the co-driver was able to drive to a nearby McDonalds.

No Arrests Have Been Made

The driver took a small caliber bullet to the upper arm and to his face. He is expected to survive.

Police didn’t find any shell casings but they said that the driver’s side window was broken and that there was a bullet hole in the windshield.

Local police are looking for two black males in their early twenties. One was slim and wearing jeans while the other was heavy-set wearing a dark shirt and jeans.
