Truck Driver’s Son Saves Little Brother From Crash That Killed His Father

Tragedy struck this early this morning in Houston when a truck driver traveling with his two young sons lost control and crashed.

The crashed happened around 1:15 a.m. on southbound I-45 in Houston. Police say that a truck driver was traveling with his two sons, one 5 years old and the other two years old, in a United Van Lines truck when he for some reason lost control. The truck hit a barrier and then a pillar, the rolled over and caught fire.

The truck driver was ejected from the cab. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The five year old was not seriously hurt in the crash and told police that he pulled his little brother out of the wreckage.

The two year old suffered serious burns in the crash but is being treated in the hospital and is expected to be okay. The five year old is also in the hospital for treatment.

The mother of the boys was reportedly driving an RV in front of the truck and kept going, unaware that there had been a crash. It is still unclear if she has been notified.

The boy told police that the family was en route to their new home in Galveston.
