Two Arrested For Shooting At Truck Driver On I-81

Two people are in police custody after shooting at a truck driver on I-81 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, last night.

Single Shot Fired Into Cab Of Truck

Police say that the shooting took place around 9:30 last night in the southbound lanes of I-81 near Exit 52. Reports indicate that 23 year old Tony Thomas was in a pickup truck when he fired a single shot from a .380 semi-automatic handgun into the cab of a truck driven by a 43 year old West Virginia man.

The bullet went through the truck’s passenger side window and then hit the windshield directly in front of the truck driver.

The truck driver was not hit by the bullet but did suffer some injuries from the broken glass.

Pennsylvania Police Arrest Two In Connection With Shooting

Police soon located and arrested Thomas and 36 year old Abigail Curran, who was also in the truck at the time of the shooting.

Thomas was charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy, recklessly endangering another person and propulsion of missiles into an occupied vehicle. He is being held on a $200,000 bail. Curran was charged with rioting and disorderly conduct. She is being held on a $100,000 bail.

It is unclear why Thomas shot at the truck.
