Inspectors Revive Trucker After He Has A Heart Attack Following Level III Inspection

Published:

A truck driver who suffered from a heart attack following a Level III inspection owes his life to the team who administered his inspection.

The incident happened yesterday at the weigh station on Interstate 68 in Finzel, Maryland. According to reports, around 9:30 a.m., a man reported finding an unconscious truck driver in the weigh station parking lot.

Troopers and Commercial Vehicle Safety Inspectors immediately ran outside and found a 57 year old Missouri based truck driver on the ground unconscious. He had no pulse and wasn’t breathing.

The inspection team used a automated external defibrillator and did CPR on the driver. He eventually began to breathe on his own and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The truck driver had received a Level III inspection earlier that morning and had passed it with no violations. The inspectors said that he showed no signs of sickness during the inspection.
