South Carolina Highway Patrol Seeking Info In Hit and Run Case

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is asking the public to be on the lookout for a truck that may have been involved in a fatal hit and run accident in Chester County, South Carolina.

The accident occurred on Monday, February 8, 2016, at approximately 3:10 a.m., on Interstate 77 northbound near mile marker 59.

According to the the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the truck is believed to have struck a 2000 Ford Explorer in the rear.

“Once person received fatal injuries as a result of the collision.  The commercial vehicle ran off of the right side of the roadway and then fled the scene,” the South Carolina Highway Patrol’s press release states.

The press release states that the truck should have “noticeable damage” to the left front of the vehicle and that several amber clearance-like lights might be exposed.
