Truck Driver And Waitress Wife Win Multi-Million Dollar Jackpot

A truck driver and his wife who works as a waitress won a $4 million jackpot on a scratch-off lottery ticket last week.

Couple Hits The Jackpot On Scratchers Ticket

Tammy Wilkinson purchased the $200 Million Blowout lottery ticket at the Mebane Food Mart in Mebane, North Carolina for $20. After scratching the ticket and confirming with the clerk that it was a winner, Tammy rushed home to tell her truck driver husband William the good news. “I started screaming and blowing the horn as soon as I got to our road,” she said.

William has spent 16 years behind the wheel of a truck.

Lump Sum Option Leaves Over $1.6 Million

The couple travelled to Raleigh to claim their winnings last Friday. They chose the lump sum option and were able to take home over $1.6 million after taxes.

The Wilkinsons plan to use the money to go on a vacation and catch up on bills.
