A quick thinking liquor truck driver managed to foil a would-be robber by locking him in the truck’s trailer and waiting for the police to arrive.
The incident took place just after 8 o’clock this morning at Captain Jack’s Liquor Land in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Truck Driver Thwarts Robber With Quick Thinking
A man later identified as Virgil George Standing Crow III, 24, climbed into a delivery truck’s trailer to attempt to steal cases of liquor. The driver refused and shut the trailer door, leaving Standing Crow trapped inside.
The frustrated Standing Crow destroyed several cases worth of liquor bottles, but police soon arrived and removed him from the trailer at gunpoint.
The lost liquor totaled almost $600.
The truck driver was not injured during the incident.
Standing Crow was charged with felony robbery and held on a $5,000 bond.
