Two delivery truck drivers were involved in a shootout with masked gunmen in Florence, South Carolina, early this morning.
The truck drivers were returning to a business on Lawson Street around 2 a.m. when they encountered two masked people. One of the masked suspects carried a shotgun and ordered the truck drivers to get on the ground.
At some point during the exchange, one of the truck drivers was shot.
The driver who was shot pulled out his own weapon and returned fire. The suspects fled.
The truck driver’s injuries were not life threatening.
