Trucker Dies After Striking Bear

A trucker lost his life early this morning when crashed his truck after hitting a bear.

The incident happened around 1:15 a.m. in Centre County, Pennsylvania. According to police, a bear crossed the highway in front of a tanker truck on Rt. 322 between Philipsburg and Port Matilda.

The truck hit the bear, then a tree. The truck then overturned. Some reports say that there were several explosions.

The truck driver died during the crash.

Hazmat teams, firefighters, and PennDOT were dispatched to the scene.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
