Trucker Killed In Fiery Two Semi Crash On Indiana Toll Road

A trucker lost his life yesterday when he crashed into another truck stopped for construction on the Indiana Toll Road in  LaPorte County.

Two Semi Crash Causes One Truck To Catch Fire

The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. near the 42 mile marker. According to police, 38 year old truck driver Orville McDougall was stopped in the eastbound lanes for construction when his rig was rear ended by a semi driven by 36 year old Kwame L. Lawson.

One Trucker Loses Life Due To Crash

Lawson’s truck caught fire and burned rapidly because of the load of paper towels he was hauling, according to reports. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

McDougall was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The eastbound lanes were closed for the crash for about four hours, causing traffic backups that were an estimated nine miles long.
