Virginia Trucker Saves Child Wandering In The Cold

A Virginia-based trucker is being called a hero for rescuing a child he found wandering in the streets in freezing temperatures with no shoes or coat.

It was around 4:30 a.m. on Friday when truck driver Gregory Tyler spotted a six year old wandering in an intersection on the Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County. According to police, the child had wandered away from the home where he was spending the night.

Tyler stopped and brought the child into his truck to keep warm, then called 911. The child was taken to the hospital for evaluation, but he was fine.

Child Protective Services was contacted and is investigating the case.
