The Arizona Department Of Public Safety released video of a crash that happened last Wednesday to remind drivers of the dangers of tailgating.
A trucker’s dash cam captured the crash on I-10 near Dragoon. Twenty-three year old motorist Briana Disaia is seen in the video following the pickup in front of her so closely that she has no time to avoid a mattress on the interstate. Disaia then loses control of her car and slams into the semi in the right lane. Her car leaves the road and violently overturns into the path of the dash cammer, who manages to avoid hitting her.
Disaia was wearing her seatbelt and was able to get herself and her cat out of the car. She was checked by paramedics but refused treatment.
It is unclear whether Disaia will be cited for unsafe driving.
