Fort Worth police say that a trucker pursued his stolen 18 wheeler in a pickup truck and then fatally struck the alleged truck thief early this morning.
18 Wheeler Stolen From Business, Owner Pursues
According to police, the 18 wheeler was stolen from a business close to I-35 West and Risinger Road.
The truck’s owner reportedly chased the thief in a pickup truck and somehow forced the semi off the road. The semi then got stuck in a ditch. The suspected truck thief left the stuck truck and tried to cross the I-35 West service road, but was hit by the pickup driven by the semi’s owner.
Police found the man’s body just before 4 a.m.
Police Still Investigating Incident
No charges have been filed, but the incident is still under investigation.
It is unclear whether the truck owner hit the thief intentionally.
