Trucker Survives After Being Shot At California Truck Stop

Published:

A truck driver is lucky to be alive after he was shot by two masked suspects at a truck stop in North Natomas early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened at the Sacramento 49er Travel Plaza just after 2 a.m. According to reports, the driver was sitting in his truck while his co-driver was inside the truck stop when two masked men approached.

The suspects shot the truck driver at least once in the upper torso.

The two suspects then fled the scene on foot.

The truck driver was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made, but police have speculated that the shooting is a result of a drug deal gone wrong.
