Trucker Who Lost His Life In Houston Flood Waters Identified

The trucker who died in the cab of his truck which was submerged by dangerous flood waters in Houston on Tuesday has been officially identified.

Trucker Who Perished In Flood Waters In Houston Identified

Authorities have named him as Pedro Rascon Morales, 61, of El Paso, Texas.

His truck was found on 800 block of North Sam Houston Parkway East. He is believed to have passed away around 3 p.m.

Cause of Death Still Unclear

The cause of Morales’s death remains under investigation. Some witnesses say that he drove his truck directly into flood waters, leading authorities to speculate that he may have been suffering from a medical issue that caused him to lose control of the truck.

At least 8 people died during the historic flooding in Houston.

Desperate Rescue Attempt Failed

ABC 13’s news report on those killed by the flood includes heartbreaking cellphone video of a man desperately trying to break into the cab of Morales’s truck with a hammer in order to save him.
