UPDATE: Suspect In Truck Stop Shooting Found Dead

A man suspected of shooting and killing 1 man and critically injuring another man at a truck stop in Jessup, Maryland has been found dead.

Howard County Police have confirmed that the man suspected in the double shooting allegedly committed suicide.

The suspect, Jacinto Del Prado, 52, was struck and killed by a train on Monday morning.

Del Prado was a suspect in the shootings of two men at a truck stop in Jessup.  The shootings occurred on Sunday afternoon.  44-year-old Chad Daniel was shot and killed;  57-year-old Warren Weeden was critically injured.

Police said the victims my have been “shot in a case of mistaken identity,” Fox Baltimore reported.

Shortly after the shootings, a warrant was issued for Del Prado.

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on Monday, Del Prado reportedly stepped in front of a train in Lanham.  The incident brought a halt to the MARC Penn Line.
