UPS Employee Killed By Company Truck At Distribution Center

A UPS employee who was hit by a company truck at a distribution center last night in West Sacramento has died.

The incident happened just after 9 p.m near Harbor Boulevard and Shore Street. According to reports, the 47-year-old man was hit by a truck driven by a fellow UPS worker. He became lodged under it, suffering significant injuries. The truck driver immediately called for help.

The man was pulled out from under the truck and taken to the hospital, but he later died.

Police will be conducting a full investigation into the incident, but the truck driver has cooperated with police and has not been cited. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the incident. Foul play is not suspected.

The man who was hit had worked for UPS for 28 years.
