Over 2700 Navistar Trucks Recalled For Brake Issue

Navistar has issued a recall of thousands of trucks for a brake issue that could increase the risk of a crash.

The defect is in the air dryer mounting bracket, which could fail and lead to a loss of pressure in the air brake system or air system leaks.

The recalled trucks include certain trucks with the following manufacture dates:

  • International LT models manufactured between 2016 and 2018
  • International ProStar models manufactured between 2016 and 2017
  • International LoneStar models manufactured in 2017
  • International RH models manufactured between 2017 and 2018

Starting on May 12 when the recall begins, Navistar will contact truck owners and will replace the air dryer mounting bracket free of charge.

If you have questions about the recall, you can contact Navistar at 1-800-448-7825 and reference recall number 17502.

You can also get more information by calling the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
