Arson Suspected After Eight Company Semis Burn In Two Different Towns

Maine police suspect that a trucking company was targeted by a coordinated arson attack after eight of their trucks burned in two different locations over the weekend.

Truck fires broke out at two different R.C. Moore trucking company locations last night between the hours of 8 and 9 p.m. Four parked trucks were severely damaged by fire at the Scarborough location. Another four trucks were burned at the depot location in Poland 36 miles away from Scarborough at approximately the same time. All of the trucks were a total loss.

No injuries have been reported.

Damage to the trucks is estimated at $1,000,000.

Steve McCausland of the department of public safety says that “it is very unlikely this a coincidence” and suspected that at least two people worked together to coordinate the fires.
