Just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning, a vehicle rolled backward into a truck after the driver, 38, exited the vehicle – with his infant inside – to confront the truck driver.
Car Driver Road Rage Leads To Fender Bender
The truck was traveling on NJ Highway Route 208 and Glen Rock when the driver, 58, from upstate New York, attempted to merge into a construction zone on the northbound highway before Lincoln Avenue, according to Fair Lawn & Glen Rock.
Police Chief Dean Ackermann reported, “While exiting the vehicle with his 1-year-old child still inside, the Hawthorne man left the vehicle in neutral and did not set the parking brake.”
“The vehicle rolled backward into the truck, but the child wasn’t injured and there was minor damage.”

“Both were advised of the procedure to sign complaints with the Glen Rock Municipal Court. No independent witnesses were on scene,” the chief said.
