The California Highway Patrol reports that at least 50 vehicles have crashed in dense fog on Highway 198 in Hanford and Lemoore this morning.
CHP says the first crash occurred around 7:20 a.m. at eastbound Highway 198 and northbound Highway 41 when a milk tanker collided with another semi. Two other vehicles were unable to avoid the crashed trucks and crashed as well.

A second series of chain-reaction collisions started around 8:30 a.m. on westbound Highway 198 between 13th and 16th Avenue.
CHP reported that westbound Highway 198 will be shut down for hours.
Police say that drivers were going too fast in the fog.
Approximately 10 people were injured in the crashes, but none of the injuries are considered to be serious.
