Numerous people were transported to the hospital this morning when a semi truck crashed into a Metro bus on I-5 in Seattle.
The crash happened after 9 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 near Michigan Street when a semi crashed into the back of the bus. Traffic was moving at the time of the rear end crash, according to representative Jeff Switzer of King County Metro Bus.

Eleven people suffered injuries in the crash. Eight of those people were taken to the hospital. Seattle fire and rescue crews say that those eight people are in “very stable” condition. The injuries were described as primarily neck and back injuries. Three others were treated at the scene.
The crash blocked the right lane of traffic.
Washington State Troopers have not yet said what caused the crash or whether anyone will be cited.
