FedEx Ground Truck Takes Gunfire In Memphis

Published:

Memphis police say that a motorist opened fire on a FedEx Ground truck yesterday, breaking the truck’s windshield and leaving the team husband and wife drivers shaken.

The shooting took place on I-240 near Getwell Road around midnight last night.

Truck driver Sheila Schuyler was at the wheel while her husband was resting in the sleeper berth when the shooting occurred.

Schuyler says that a man driving a white Chevy Camero pulled up alongside her truck and fired: “I thought it sounded like someone’s tire had blown or something. Then I saw this car, and this guy had his arm out and outside the window. Then all of a sudden, my windshield breaks. Oh no, I’ve been shot.

Memphis police say that the motorist fired two shots directly at truck. A bullet hole is clearly visible in the truck’s windshield.

Luckily, no injuries were reported.

Investigators are still working to uncover a motive for the shooting.
