
Five people were injured in Phoenix this morning when a tanker truck hauling jet fuel rolled, crushing a passenger vehicle.
Tanker Truck And Three Other Vehicles Involved In Crash
The crash happened near 59th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. According to reports, three vehicles including a pickup truck were involved in a crash with a tanker hauling 8,000 gallons of jet fuel. During the crash, the tanker rolled on top of the pickup and partially crushed it.

The pickup truck driver survived and was able to escape with help from a good Samaritan.
Two people — the 25 year old pickup truck driver and the 55 year old tanker truck driver, were critically injured in the crash. Three others suffered minor injuries.
Approximately 150 gallons of jet fuel leaked out of the tanker following the crash. Hazmat crews were on scene to assist in the cleanup.

Authorities say that the road will be closed for six to eight hours.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
