Gunman Opened Fire On Chicopee Trucking Company Workers
About an hour after shooting his girlfriend, Starkey reportedly appeared at Specialized Trucking in Chicopee armed with a shotgun. Three employees were present at the business at that time. Starkey is said to have opened fire, injuring one of the employees before the shotgun malfunctioned. Starkey then fled the scene.
That employee was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
It isn’t clear how Starkey is connected to Specialized Trucking, but Chicopee police Officer Michael Wilk stated, “There were three people inside the business and they were familiar with him.”
Starkey is considered to be armed and dangerous.
If you see either Starkey or his vehicle, you’re asked to immediately call the Massachusetts State Police at 413-625-8200. You can also call 911. Police warn that you should not attempt to approach Starkey.
