A truck driver lost his life last night when high winds caused a rollover crash on I-40 in El Reno, Oklahoma.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 9 p.m. near U.S. 81. A truck driver was traveling eastbound on I-40 as heavy rains fell and winds of 95 m.p.h gusted. Police say that the extreme winds blew the semi into a cable barrier, causing it to overturn and come to rest on the driver’s side.

The truck driver was partially ejected during the rollover. Rescue crews worked for an hour to free the pinned truck driver, but he unfortunately passed away at the scene.
