Indiana CMV Trooper hosts “DOT Chat” video to answer driver questions

Published:

Indiana State Police Trooper Brent Hoover took to Facebook Live this morning for a “DOT Chat” to help truckers answer their trickiest regulation questions.

ISP Trooper Tackles Your Toughest Trucking Questions Live

Hoover, a member of the Indiana State Police’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, has been on a mission to bridge the gap between the trucking community and law enforcement for quite some time now. Hoover writes that his goal is to “work with the transportation industry to improve safety through education vs citations.” Hoover said that he created the video to give truckers something informative to watch on their 30 minute breaks.

During his DOT Chat, Hoover addresses questions from truckers on topics ranging from how to drive around school buses, fog lamps on CMVs, and how to carry weapons safely in commercial vehicles.

Trooper Hoover’s DOT Chat generated a generally positive response on social media thanks to his down to earth and informative approach to trucking regulations.
