Major U.S.-Canada Border Crossing Reopens Following Bomb Threat

A key U.S.-Canada border crossing has reopened after being shut down for hours by a bomb threat this morning.

The border crossing at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle was closed and evacuated after someone phoned in a bomb threat at 9 a.m.

Officials shut down Highway 15 and I-87 at the border while the threat was investigated, causing major traffic backups.

The border crossing was shut down for approximately four hours but has since reopened.

No injuries were reported.

Canadian officials are investigating the threat.
