A man was arrested for a road rage incident in Tulsa yesterday that sent a semi truck driver to the hospital.
Road Rage Sends Truck Driver To Hospital
The incident happened on Highway 11 during the evening rush hour. According to the Tulsa Police Department, 53-year-old James Cooper and a semi truck driver were both traveling east on the highway. Cooper told police that the truck cut him off as traffic slowed for congestion.
In an apparent act of road rage, Cooper reportedly exited his pickup and took a golf club to the 18 wheeler. He smashed out the semi’s window and broke off the head of the golf club, according to police.
Police arrested Cooper and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held on a $30,000 bond.
A piece of glass was stuck in the truck driver’s eye following the attack and he was hospitalized. It isn’t clear how serious his injuries are at this time.
