Police say that a man was killed early today during an accident at the Stop & Shop distribution center in Freetown, Massachusetts.
The incident happened shortly after midnight.
Police say that 51-year-old Alphonse Ferent was working on a loading dock when a semi truck pulled away from the dock. Ferent fell in between the truck and the loading dock and then a forklift that was unloading the truck fell on top of Ferent.
Ferent was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators do not suspect foul play.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration will join local police in their investigation into the incident.
