Iowa police are searching for a suspect who stabbed a semi truck driver twice during a road rage incident on Monday.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. in Black Hawk County at the intersection of Highway 63 and Dunkerton Road. According to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department, 37 year old semi truck driver Peter Klassen of Ionia became involved in some sort of road rage incident with a passenger vehicle driver.

Both Klassen and the motorist exited their vehicles. During the altercation that followed the motorist stabbed Klassen. The motorist fled the scene before police arrived.
Klassen was transported to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
Police are still searching for the suspect who stabbed Klassen. The suspect’s vehicle is a silver 2012 Kia with Minnesota license plates 153LSX.
