A motorist is lucky to be alive after crashing into a log truck in South Carolina this morning.

The crash happened in Anderson on the SC-28 Bypass around 8:30 a.m.
According to the South Carolina State Patrol, a 41 year old log truck driver was stopped at a traffic light when 23 year old Justin Earl Douglas crashed a Kia into the back of the truck.
The crash sent a log through the Kia’s windshield.

Douglas survived the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor head injuries.
The truck driver was not hurt.
Douglas was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
