Motorist Survives Being Hit By Semi During Roadside Fight

A motorist is lucky to be alive after he fell into the roadway and was hit by a truck during a roadside altercation in New Hampshire yesterday.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, the incident began around 9:30 a.m. with a two passenger vehicle crash on an I-89 exit ramp in Lebanon.

Sixty-five-year-old Roderick Ricker and 47-year-old Jeremy Potwin both exited their vehicles and were arguing when Potwin reportedly punched Ricker, causing him to fall into the road.

A passing tractor trailer then struck Ricker.

Ricker was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious but non life threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed yet, but the case is being treated as a criminal investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call (603) 271-3635.
