This morning a Reddit user uploaded an image of what is assumed to be the new electric Tesla truck.
The truck in the photo bears a striking resemblance to a teaser image that was released in recent weeks.
According to Tech Crunch, the image was uploaded, deleted, and then uploaded once more. The image was taken “somewhere in California”.
Tesla Truck Set To Debut Later This Month
Earlier this year the Tesla truck was set to make its debut in September; however, Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, has pushed the unveiling until October 26th. In this announcement, Musk continued to hype up the electric truck – this time, calling it “a beast”.
A report published in August indicated that the Tesla electric semi truck will be able to travel up to 300 miles on a single charge.
Though Tesla founder Elon Musk at one point promised that his electric semi would be fun to drive, the latest report indicates that he is pursuing self-driving technology for the new trucks.
Further, many industry experts have been skeptical about the use of electric truck technology in a long haul capacity because of the size and weight of the battery that would be needed to propel the truck.
