One trucker dead, another hurt, in Kentucky truck stop shooting/suicide

New information indicates that the shooting incident at the Kentucky truck stop was the result of an argument between two truck drivers.

According to a report from WLWT5, a witness on the scene reported hearing the drivers argue about “courtesy” before the events turned deadly.

From Major Tom Scheben of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department: “Two men got into an argument. One of the men is sitting in a tractor-trailer in the cab and the other one is on the parking lot.

We now know that the driver who took his own life did so in his truck.

The truck driver who was shot in the arm was able to walk inside the Pilot truck stop to get help.

One truck driver is dead and another injured after a shooting incident at a Kentucky truck stop that ended in suicide.

Kentucky Police Investigating Shooting Incident At Truck Stop

The incident was reported at the Pilot Travel Center at 118 Richwood Road in Walton, Kentucky around 9:45 a.m. today.

According to reports, one truck driver was injured by a gunshot to the arm. Another truck driver took his own life with a gunshot to the head, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

The motive for the shooting and suicide is still unknown. The incident remains under investigation. The identities of the truck drivers involved have not yet been released.
