North Carolina police are warning the public to be aware of their surroundings after several peep holes were discovered at a busy rest stop along I-40.
Investigators discovered six peep holes at the both the eastbound and westbound rest areas in Benson. The holes drilled into the men’s bathroom stall walls ranged in size from 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch.

It is believed that the peep holes were drilled sometime between January 24th and January 28th.
The damage to the bathroom stalls has been repaired at a cost of about $5000.
Investigators are looking at surveillance footage to try to pinpoint a suspect.
