Wisconsin police have released images of a suspect who attacked and robbed a truck driver at a Tourist Information Center yesterday.

Trucker Attacked and Robbed In Tourist Info Center Bathroom

Police say they were called about the assault just before 6 a.m. on September 7 at the Tourist Information Center off of Highway 165 and I-94 in Pleasant Prairie. The caller was concerned after seeing blood in the men’s restroom.

When officers responded to the call, they found a 39 year old Wisconsin-based truck driver in the parking lot. The driver had suffered a serious head injury and had reportedly had his wallet stolen following an attack inside the information center. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

Police say that the driver was unable to provide many details about the attack due to the nature of his injury.

Investigators Ask For Help Locating Person of Interest

Using surveillance video, police were able to produce two images of a “person of interest”, who appears to be a slender male wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie. Anyone with information on the subject or the attack is encouraged to call the Pleasant Prairie Police Department at 262-694-7353 or Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.

In a news release on the subject, the Pleasant Prairie Police Department says that they have been in contact with other Wisconsin law enforcement agencies, who have reported similar recent attacks.

On September 4th, a truck driver was severely beaten and robbed in the bathroom at a rest stop in Dodge County, Wisconsin. It isn’t yet clear if or how the two incidents might be related.
