Police Hunt For Trucker Who Stabbed Fellow Driver Over Fuel Pump Positioning

Virginia police are asking for help from the public in locating a truck driver who stabbed another trucker at a truck stop on Saturday evening.

Fuel Pump Dispute Ends In Stabbing

According to the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place at the Pilot Truck Stop on Mt. Olive Road in Toms Brook, Virginia, around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police say that two truckers became involved in an argument that ended in a stabbing.

Sheriff Tim Carter stated, “Apparently, they were at a gas pump, and there was some disagreement between the victim and the suspect with regard to the positioning of trucks at the gas pump.

When officers arrived on the scene, the 32 year old victim had two stab wounds to his chest. The other truck driver in the incident had left the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and was released on Monday.

Police say that this was an isolated incident and they do not believe that the suspect is a danger to others.

Investigators Ask For Help Locating Suspect

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in locating the suspect truck driver. Police say that the suspect is a black male who was wearing a white t-shirt and red shorts at the time of the attack. He is believed to be driving a white 2011 Freightliner with a white trailer. The logo on the cab of the truck is believed to read “DM Express, INC.”

According to a release from the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, “The license plate is an IL registration with the numbers P897703. This tag is on the tractor part of the tractor trailer and not on the trailer.
