NY Times Wants To Hear From Long-Haul Truckers

The New York Times is asking to hear from long-haul truck drivers about the realities of life on the road.

After spending two days at a truck stop in Effingham, Illinois, for an article with the heartbreaking title “Alone on the Open Road: Truckers Feel Like ‘Throwaway People’“, journalists with the New York Times decided that they’d like to learn more about the lives of truckers. The article opens the eyes of people outside the trucking industry to the struggles of the men and women who stress and sacrifice to keep the country moving. You can click here to read that article.

The Times has two major questions for truckers: “What do you wish car drivers knew about what it is like to be a long-haul truck driver?” and “We also want to see what it is like inside your cab and how you have made that space your home. Please a share photo of it — we may publish it.
