Ormond Beach Love’s Won’t Offer Truck Parking During 10 Day “Bike Week”

Published:

A Florida Love’s has announced that it will not offer long term parking for truck drivers during a 10 day motorcycle rally called “Bike Week.”

Bike Week will run from March 10 -19.

During that period, Love’s asks truck drivers to fuel and go. Love’s encourages truck drivers to plan ahead and make other parking arrangements.

Love’s says that the no truck parking policy is necessary during the event because the heavy volume of trucks, cars, and motorcycles attending Bike Week has in the past has caused two to three mile traffic backups and forced State Police to shut down the exit.

This is a separate event from Biketoberfest, which is held in the fall. Truck parking has also not been allowed during Biketoberfest for the past few years.

Love’s issued a statement asking for understanding from their professional driver customers:

“Love’s, especially the team at the Ormond Beach location, understands the inconvenience for our Customers during this bi-annual event. We have engaged in much more proactive communications to ensure our Customers know the effect this event will have on their routes and abilities to stop and park overnight. We also hired four police officers specifically to help direct traffic at our location to ease the congestion in entering and exiting. We value our Customers and appreciate your business. We sincerely thank you for your understanding.”
