Roadcheck 2017 To Focus On Cargo Securement

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance has announced that the focus for this year’s Roadcheck inspection campaign will be cargo securement.

The annual 72 hour commercial vehicle inspection campaign will take place from June 6-8.

The CVSA says that this year’s focus on cargo securement is intended to emphasize its importance to highway safety.

CVSA’s Top 5 Load Securement Violations

  1. Failure to prevent shifting or loss of load.
  2. Failure to secure truck equipment like tarps or spare tires.
  3. Damaged tie-downs
  4. Insufficient tie-downs.
  5. Loose tie-downs
