Seven dead in suspected terror attack with rental Home Depot truck in Manhattan

At least seven people have been killed and fifteen hurt after a person in a Home Depot rental truck deliberately ran over them in lower Manhattan this afternoon.

According to reports, a rented Home Depot truck entered a bike path in the wrong direction, driving several blocks and hitting over two dozen people, some fatally, before crashing into a school bus.

The person then exited the truck and displayed “imitation firearms” before he was shot by New York Police.

The suspect is now in police custody and there is no active threat at this time.

The FBI is investigating the incident alongside local law enforcement agencies.

The incident is believed to be an act of terrorism.

The incident remains under investigation.
