SUV lands on top of police car after flying off car hauler

A truck hauling new GMC pickups and Ford Explorers collided with a police officer’s cruiser on Saturday, and one vehicle fell off of the truck and landed on top of the cruiser.

The Quebec-based truck driver lost control and jackknifed while traveling on Highway 401 near Belleville, Ontario at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

The crash sent the SUV flying off the car hauler right before landing on top the police cruiser that was parked on the side of the highway. The officer was inside the vehicle at the time of the collision.

Thankfully, the officer was not seriously injured. The condition of the truck driver was not reported.

The 29 year old truck driver was charged with careless driving.
