Befuddled Trucker Reportedly Beats Up Coworker

Published:

One truck driver is in the hospital and another is in jail after a truck stop confrontation that started when one driver confused his coworker’s semi truck for his own.

Intoxicated Trucker Confused By Coworker’s Truck

The incident happened last night at the 24/7 Travel Store in Salina, Kansas.

Police say that 63 year old South Dakota-based truck driver Dennis Kreger was parked at the truck stop when 45 year old driver Andre Moore approached him and told him that he was in the wrong truck. Moore was intoxicated and believed that Kreger’s truck was his own, according to police.

Kreger was able to convince Moore to leave him alone, but then he observed Moore banging on the door of another semi truck. This truck turned out to be Kreger’s own rig, but he was unable to get inside.

Concerned that Moore was trying to enter the wrong truck again, Kreger told Moore to go away. It was at this point that Moore pulled Kreger from the cab and assaulted him.

Driver Requires Surgery Following Beating

Moore was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.

Kreger suffered fractures to several of his facial bones and required surgery.

Both men drove for A & A Express and had nearly identical trucks.
