Family Calls For Action After Trucker’s Body Is Found Behind Bronx Bowling Alley

A family is calling for more safe truck parking after a truck driver was found shot to death in the woods behind a bowling alley in the Bronx on Friday.

The body of 41 year old truck driver Brian Adams was found by passersby in the New York town of Eastchester on Hollers Avenue just before 11 a.m. on Friday morning. Police said that he had been shot in the head. According to the New York Daily News, Adams was shirtless and had suffered cuts and bruises as if he had been in a fight.

The truck driver’s family told local news reporters that they believed Adams had been robbed because his wallet and phone were missing.

Hollers and Hutchinson Avenue where Adams’ body was found is an industrial area. Truck drivers are often forced to park along the street in the semi-secluded area because they aren’t able to find safe truck parking.

Adams’ family has called to city officials to take action to protect other truck drivers who park in the area.
