Trucker Warns Others About “Officer Davies” Phone Scam

A trucker has taken to Facebook to warn others about a phone scam perpetrated by an individual who presented himself as “Officer Davies” of the Arizona State Patrol.

Joyce Brenny of Brenny Transportation reported that her company received a phone call on January 11 from a person who claimed to be Officer Davies of the Arizona State Patrol.

Officer Davies claimed that a Brenny Transportation truck had been damaged after running over some steel and requested nearly $2000 for repairs.

Brenny became suspicious and called the driver of the truck in question. He said that there had been no such incident.

Brenny said she called Officer Davies back and confronted him about the issue and that he quickly hung up.

Brenny’s post serves as a warning not to fall for a similar scam and “never give your credit card number out to strangers!
