MSP Seeking Truck Driver In Suspected ‘Suicide By Truck’ Incident

The Minnesota State Patrol is looking for a truck driver who was involved in a fatal pedestrian crash that they suspect was suicide on Wednesday morning.

The incident took place around 8 a.m. near Avon. According to MSP,  53-year-old Lloyd Parker jumped from the County Road 9 bridge onto the eastbound lanes of I-94, where he was struck by a semi.

Parker died as a result of his injuries.

MSP is working to locate the truck driver who struck Parker. Officers say that the driver may not realize that he hit anyone.

Investigators say that the semi was eastbound and possibly in the right lane at the time of the pedestrian strike. It is white and may have front bumper damage. MSP has released an image of the truck that they are looking for.
