Peep Holes Discovered In Men’s Restrooms At A North Carolina Rest Stop

North Carolina police are warning the public to be aware of their surroundings after several peep holes were discovered at a busy rest stop along I-40.

Investigators discovered six peep holes at the both the eastbound and westbound rest areas in Benson. The holes drilled into the men’s bathroom stall walls ranged in size from 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch.

No peep holes were discovered in the women’s restrooms.

It is believed that the peep holes were drilled sometime between January 24th and January 28th.

The damage to the bathroom stalls has been repaired at a cost of about $5000.

Investigators are looking at surveillance footage to try to pinpoint a suspect.

Johnston County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell warns, “Be aware of your surroundings. If you notice holes or anything out of place bring it to the attention of the employees or law enforcement.
