Four people were killed and at least two others wounded during a shooting incident this morning at the UPS package delivery facility in San Francisco.
Four UPS Drivers Dead After Shooting
The shooting occurred just before 9 a.m. A UPS spokesman said that the shooter was a driver for the company. The shooter armed with an assault pistol reportedly opened fire on a group of employees during a morning meeting. Police say that there were dozens of witnesses to the shooting spree.

One witness said that he heard gunshots, then saw a large group of UPS drivers running from the facility yelling “shooter, shooter.”
The shooting led to a massive police response on the facility. When officers located the shooter, he reportedly turned the turned gun on himself.

Three people aside from the gunman died as a result of the shooting spree. All of the victims were drivers, according to UPS representative Steve Gaut.
The shooter’s motive remains unclear at this time. Investigators say that they do not suspect terrorism.

Around 350 employees work at the UPS facility.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has joined in the investigation.
UPS issued the following statement on the incident:
“The company is saddened and deeply concerned about affected employees, family members and the community we share. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those touched by this incident. To assist our employees during this time, UPS has made professional counseling available. ”
